Video: Giant python wraps around Thai woman, holds her captive for 2 hours before rescue

A 64-year-old woman in Thailand was attacked by a massive python while doing household chores at her home outside Bangkok.

The 13-to-16-foot-long python bit her thigh and coiled around her torso, squeezing her to the floor. Trapped for nearly two hours, the woman cried for help but was only discovered when a neighbour heard her screams and alerted authorities.

Police and animal control officers arrived, using a crowbar to strike the snake on the head until it released its grip and slithered away.

The woman, who sustained multiple bites, was treated but appeared otherwise unharmed.
