The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has instructed all schools to finalise the registration process for classes 9 and 11 by October 16, without incurring any late fees. School authorities are required to complete the registration by accessing the Pariksha Sangam Portal on the CBSE website.

"You are aware that the registration of students of classes IX and XI is going on and the last date for registration with normal fees is 16/10/2024," reads the official notice.

"The schools are directed to ensure that the registration of 100% of students of classes IX and XI studying in their schools is done. No student remained unregistered."

The deadline for CBSE registration for classes 9 and 11 without a late fee is October 16. Students who miss this date will incur a late fee of Rs 2,300, and the final date for registration with the late fee is October 24, 2024.

The board has stressed that no students will be permitted to register during the List of Submissions (LOC) for the upcoming board exams. This policy aims to tackle the persistent problem of schools neglecting to register students within the designated timeframe and subsequently attempting to add them later.

According to the board, common excuses for missed registrations-such as student hospitalisations, clerical errors, technical difficulties, and students being away-will no longer be considered valid.
