7 of a family, including children, killed as their car overturns in Telangana

The family, who lived in Bheemla Thanda, was returning from Toopran when the car lost control and plunged into a roadside pit filled with water. All the family members, including children, died in the accident.

Seven members of the same family were killed when a car they were travelling in overturned in Medak district of Telangana, police said on Wednesday.

The family, who lived in Bheemla Thanda, was returning from Toopran when the driver lost control of the car and the vehicle plunged into a roadside pit filled with water. All the family members, including children, died in the accident.

Upon learning about the accident, police and local officials rushed to the scene to rescue, but unfortunately, all the members of the family had already succumbed to serious injuries they suffered in the accident, police added.

The Sivampet police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed shock and grief over the road accident in Medak district. Speaking to the authorities, Reddy was briefed about the road mishap. He said that it was sad that seven people of the same family lost their lives in the accident.

Chief Minister Reddy directed the officials to provide better medical treatment and necessary assistance to the injured. He conveyed deep sympathies to the bereaved family members.
