Yashasvi Jaiswal has become only the second batter to score 1000 runs in Test cricket in 2024. The left-handed batter achieved the feat on Day 2 of India’s second Test against Tom Latham’s New Zealand at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

Joe Root stands on top of the list with 1305 runs from 14 Tests at an average of 59.31 with five centuries and four fifties. Root’s top score of 262 came in England’s opening Test against Pakistan at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
