Singham Again: Ajay Devgn and team to burn Raavan effigy at Red Fort on Dussehra

The team of Singham Again, including Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn, will be present at a Delhi Ramlila on Saturday, October 12 to participate in the ceremony involving the burning of the Raavan effigy.

Actor Ajay Devgn will be present at Delhi's Red Fort to perform the Raavan Dahan ceremony at a prominent Ramlila on Dussehra. The actor has decided to promote the film with his team in the capital on October 12, Friday. The trailer of the Rohit Shetty-directorial established that the story is loosely based on Ramayana and therefore, it seemed like a perfect moment for the film to begin its grand promotion at a Ramlila.

As per the official note shared by the film's team, Ajay and others will attend the Lav Kush Ramlila on Saturday evening and set the Raavan effigy ablaze traditionally. The note further mentioned that the actor and the film's team were invited to perform the ceremony and mark the triumph of good over evil by the president of the Ramlila Committee, Arjun Kumar.

Last year, actor Kangana Ranaut performed the ceremony while promoting her film, Tejas, at the Ramlila ground. She was also regarded as the first woman to have performed the big ceremony.

The film boasts a stunning star-cast with the likes of Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Tiger Shroff coming together to make a larger-than-life experience. However, it is not yet clear who all among these will be present for the Dussehra celebrations in Delhi.

Singham Again is slated to hit the screens as the big Diwali release this year. It is facing a box office clash with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 on November 1.
