Sherlock Holmes' silent era returns: 1920s film to screen for first time in century

The iconic Sherlock Holmes' early adventures have been brought back to life in a newly restored 1920s silent film series.

Produced by British company Stoll Pictures, these films comprise 45 episodes of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and two feature films.
Notably, they closely follow Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original stories and star Eille Norwood, whom Doyle believed was the perfect fit for the role.
