Man arrested for molesting 5-year-old girl at hospital in Mumbai

The accused, identified as Irfan Khan, was arrested for molesting a girl in Mumbai and charged under the various Sections of the Pocso Act.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested by the Mumbai police for allegedly molesting a five-year-old girl at a hospital in the city.

According to police, the girl's mother was hospitalised at KEM Hospital in Mumbai, where a relative of the accused was also admitted.

The girl and her other family members were sitting outside the ward when the man approached her. He lured the girl with food and touched her inappropriately while taking her away from the hospital.

When the girl started to cry, her family members gathered around, and she disclosed that the man had touched her inappropriately. Following this, the girl's grandmother filed a complaint with the police station.

The accused, identified as Irfan Khan, was charged under various sections of the Pocso Act as well as Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act.
