A disturbing road rage incident in Bengaluru’s Kasavanahalli left a five-year-old child injured on Wednesday night, adding to the city’s troubling spate of similar encounters.

Anoop George, along with his wife and five-year-old son, was returning home after Diwali shopping at around 9.30 pm. George claimed they were being followed by two bike-borne men, who demanded they roll down their car windows.

George claimed that when he attempted to surge past, one of the bikers allegedly threw a stone at the car, breaking a window and injuring the child.

The couple had to rush their son to a nearby hospital after the attack. "My son got three stitches in his head," claimed George.

However, police sources provide a different account, suggesting that George initially collided with the bikers’ vehicle before leaving the scene.

The police sources also claimed that the child's father had not filed the case till Thursday morning.

"Even when the accused requested them to stop, they didn’t comply. After that, they chased the car, stopped it, but the victims were unwilling to negotiate and didn’t even lower their car windows to talk," the police sources told India Today TV.

"Frustrated by their actions, the accused threw stones, injuring the child. We have identified the individuals involved, and once a complaint is filed, we will take action," police sources added.
