The National Board of Examination Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced two significant changes to the exam pattern for the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Super Specialty (NEET SS) 2024. In its notification dated October 11, NBEMS outlined the tentative schedule for NEET-SS 2024, which is set to take place on March 29 and 30.

"The prior entry eligible feeder qualifications for admissions to DM/MCh/DrNB courses shall be strictly by Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 and any clarification/amendments issued from NMC time to time in this regard," reads the official notice.

The two newly introduced changes are highlighted below, while the rest of the examination scheme remains unchanged for all groups.

1. A separate question paper group (Medical Oncology Group) will be introduced for admission to DM/DrNB Medical Oncology, with all questions focused solely on medical oncology topics.

2. Similarly, a separate question paper group (Critical Care Medicine Group) will be introduced for admission to DM/DrNB Critical Care Medicine, with all questions exclusively covering critical care medicine topics.

The NEET SS exam is conducted for admissions into various DM, MCh, and DrNB Super Speciality courses, in accordance with Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019.

No other exam, whether at the state or institutional level, will be considered valid for entry into these courses.
