Romy and Sampha Share "I'm on your team"

The first original collaboration from the British musicians.

Romy and Sampha first teamed up in March, when Romy was a guest on Sampha’s Wave Therapy radio show and the two performed André 3000‘s “Me&My (To Bury Your Parents).” The duo has since actually gotten in the studio together, recently revealing their first official, original collaborative track.

Entitled “I’m on your team,” the track is truly a dual-minded delivery, with the UK-based musicians effortlessly complementing each other on the ethereal four-minute offering. Production on the piano-heavy song comes from Thomas Bartlett.

“It’s a love song but lyrically, it’s honest and truthful,” said Romy of the track. “Like we’ve had the magic and dreaminess but now we’ve been through things together, so here we are and I’m putting in the work.”

Sampha adds, “I love the idea of being part of a team, that you have to show up for each other, and from there you can create an even deeper connection.”

“I’m on your team” also arrives with a live version visual, in which the UK-based musicians performed the track at London’s Young Space.
