The duo have worked together in several movies like Mr Natwarlal, Do Anjaane, Khoon Pasina, Ganga Ki Saugandh and several others. However, the movie that is widely discussed is 1981 romantic drama titled Silsila. Along with Amitabh and Rekha, the film also starred Jaya Bachchan in the lead role.

Rekha told the magazine that her loss is that she didn't get a chance to share the phenomenal growth of Amitabh Bachchan as an actor. However, she was happy that producers offered her opportunities to dub for stars like Neetu Singh in Yaaraana and Sridevi in Aakhri Raasta.

Further in this entertainment news, addressing the reason why she and Big B didn't work together in a movie after Silsila, Rekha said, "The only rational answer that I can think of is that the wait to be able to co-star with Amitji is worth it. That everything happens for the right reason at the right time." The actress stated back then that being patience will pay off well and they might reunite again. Well, it has been almost 2 decades since the interview came out and the duo never featured together in a movie. She only had a cameo separately in the film Shamitabh in 2015, which featured Amitabh Bachchan with Dhanush.
