Kalki 2898 AD 2: Update on Deepika Padukone
The first part ends with a cliffhanger and the makers have already confirmed that there's a sequel happening. However, fans are awaiting an update on the next part. In September, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their daughter Dua Padukone. The actress is currently on a maternity break. So is she going to end her break soon and start working on the sequel? Well, there's an update.
We would like to inform our entertainment news readers that Deepika is currently dedicating her entire time to her daughter Dua. She wants to take care of her daughter and doesn't want to opt for a nanny. So she won't be ending her maternity break anytime soon, even though "impatient elements" are knocking on her door. On the other hand, there have been reports that the makers of Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD have started shooting for her sequel. Reportedly, DP gave them the option of cutting her out of the second part. However, the team is ready to wait for her maternity leave to end.
About the same, a source told Zoom, "She gave them the option of cutting her role to expedite the shooting in her absence. But the producers wouldn’t hear of it. They will wait for as long as it takes. They have already shot some portions of her role in the second part. The rest, they will wait. The Kalki franchisee is unimaginable without Deepika." In the sequel, we will see Kamal Haasan more on screen considering the way the makers brought a twist towards the end of Part 1.
