Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava is one of the most anticipated movies starring the actor. The teaser was released a few months ago and received a great response. The makers had announced December 6, 2024, as the release date for the historical period drama. The film, helmed by Laxman Utekar, also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role. The movie was all set to clash with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule. However, it looks like the clash won't happen anymore.

No more Chhaava Vs Pushpa 2

Recently, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna revealed the release date of Pushpa 2: The pan-India Telugu action thriller, which was earlier set to release in August, will not hit theatres on December 5, 2024. It was going to be another big box office clash of 2024. However, it looks like the clash is now averted as Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava is getting postponed.

As reported by MidDay, the makers of Chaavaa want the Vicky starrer to reach its box office potential with a competition-free release. While the production work is almost complete, they want the film to hit theatres when there is no other film scheduled on the same date. So far, there is no official announcement. However, the team will soon announce that the film is not releasing on December 6, 2024.

Further in this entertainment news, Pushpa 2 is a sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. Directed by Sukumar, the movie also stars Fahadh Faasil, Prakash Raj, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, and others. It will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Bengali.

The movie is expected to hit theatres in 2026.
