Man charged following Wiri shooting

A man is due in the Manukau District Court on Monday on firearms charges after a shooting in Wiri early on Sunday morning.

Police were called to Felicia Place at about 1am after shots were fired from an address.

Two groups were involved, and one person was taken to hospital in a minor condition.

Officers seized a sawn-down shotgun and ammunition.

The 32-year-old was also charged with wounding with reckless disregard.
