Injured person rescued from blaze in Auckland CBD

A person was rescued from a fire in a central Auckland building overnight.

Fire crews were called to the Greys Avenue property at 12.30am.

At the peak of the fire, 13 firetrucks and 40 firefighters were at the scene, a Fire & Emergency spokesperson said.

St John said one person was taken to Auckland Hospital in a moderate condition.
