Woman assaulted in Rotorua home dies
· RNZA woman critically injured after being assaulted in her Rotorua home has died.
The woman and her husband were seriously assaulted in the suburb of Western Heights last Monday, and have been in hospital ever since.
Police say the woman died Saturday evening.
A 53-year-old man who was arrested and charged with murder after a linked incident at a Utuhina property is now facing a second charge of murder.
He has been remanded in custody and is expected to appear in the High Court at Rotorua later this month.
