Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy reveals marriage plans as she releases tragic new statement

Liam Payne's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, said she is "shattered" as she released a new tribute to the late singer.

Taking to her Instagram page, she shared a black-and-white photo of her with the star and penned a heartbreaking tribute to him days after her original statement. She revealed the couple were 'manifesting their lives together' in the weeks before his death aged 31. Kate said he wrote her a beautiful note insisting that the two would be married within a year but asked her not to read the note.

Kate said: "I don't even know where to begin. My heart is shattered in ways I can't put into words. I wish you could see the huge impact you've had on the world, even as it feels so dark right now. You brought so much happiness and positivity to everyone-millions of fans, your family, friends, and especially me. You are so incredibly loved.

"You are because I can't say were-my best friend, the love of my life, and everyone you touched felt just as special as I did. Your energy was contagious, lighting up every room you walked into. None of this feels real, and I can't wrap my head around this new reality of not having you here. I'm struggling to figure out how to live in a world without you by my side. Together, we got to be kids again, always finding joy in the smallest things.

"Liam, you had the kindest soul and the most fun-loving spirit. It feels like I've lost the best part of myself. I can't imagine a day without your laughter and love. You brought so much light into my life."

She continued: "A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together. I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it. It said, "Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged & together forever 444." Liam, I know we'll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned. You'll always be with me. I've gained a guardian angel."

Concluding her shattering post, Katie wrote: "I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go. Forever yours, Katelyn 444." The angel number, 444, conveys a message of love, support as well as guidance from your angels.

It is said that the number serves as a reminder that you are on the right path, with your angels by your side. Along with the statement, she shared a number of sweet pictures of the two, including one of her with her arm wrapped around him as they laid down in the snow and smiled for the camera.

One picture was a selfie Liam took of the two enjoying Disneyland. Liam stuck his tongue out and rocked a Minnie Mouse headband. She also shared a picture of the note he gave her. The two looked hopelessly in love in the multiple snaps the influencer shared with her heartbroken fans.

Liam died aged 31 after he fell from the third-floor balcony at the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last Wednesday evening. In an official statement given to The Associated Press, Argentinian police disclosed that the father-of-one had "jumped from the balcony of his room", apparently dispelling any notions of an accidental fall or foul play. City ambulance service provider spokesman Alberto Crescenti said he had fallen around 40 metres and suffered “severe injuries which were incompatible with life”.

Following his shock death, fellow stars - including his One Direction bandmates Zayn Malik,Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Niall Horan - and fans alike have expressed their thoughts about their sad loss.

Kate had been with Liam in the days leading up to his devastating death, before returning to her hometown in Florida, United States. The pair had been holidaying in Argentina and had been to see Liam's former bandmate, Niall Horan, in concert. Throughout their holiday, which was originally scheduled to be five days, both Liam and Kate had kept fans entertained on social media.

Days after his death, Kate shared a statement expressing her grief and admitted she was "at a loss". She wrote on her page: "Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way. I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real. I ask and pray that you'll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private. Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam."
