TV legend Alison Hammond and her new younger boyfriend have reportedly discussed the possibility of marriage, with her son is said to have given them his approval.

The This Morning star, 49, and her younger boyfriend David Pullman, 27, have been dating for close to a year and everything seems to be going swimmingly between the couple. Earlier this year, she went Instagram official with him when she shared sweet snaps of the two looking head over heels for each other.

And now, the star has even shown off her significant weight loss, with the star dropping from 28 stone to 17 stone, which is making her feel healthier, a source said. According to an insider, the couple have gone through 'tough times' together and have even discussed getting married in the future.

Alison is even happier knowing she has her teenage son Aidan's approval, the source added. "They went through some tough times when they first started going out, but David has made her believe in love again and restored her faith in men," the insider recently claimed.

"Add in the fact that she's very happy in her new relationship and has got Aidan's approval, and Alison couldn't be happier. They have talked about marriage and although it's quite soon, Alison would love to get married one day and look her best for it, even if it's not for a while," they said to new magazine.

The Mirror have reached out to Alison's reps for comment. The TV host was previously married to Aidan's father, Noureddine Boufaied, but their union ended in divorce. Alison previously opened up about her relationship with David during an appearance on the Parenting Hell podcast with host Rob Beckett.

When she was asked whether she was single, she answered: "No! I'm not single, I'm dating! I'm dating." She was then asked by host Rob Beckett if that was more difficult dating with a teenage son.

Alison replied: "I think it's more difficult. I think he's more verbal now that he's older, he will wanna to know who this person is and he'll want to meet them... It's a lot harder, yeah. Because he'll wanna know that this guy is treating me well. The person that I'm seeing at the moment, he's like on his Instagram. He's like, 'Yeah, I like him. I like him. He's not too in your face.' Do you know what I mean? Aidan's on it."
