Gardai launch investigation after body discovered on grounds of University Hospital Limerick
The body of an adult man was discovered on the grounds of University Hospital Limerick on Thursday

On Thursday, the body of an adult male was found on the grounds of University Hospital Limerick, located on St Nessans Road, in Limerick.
The body has since been removed from the scene and a post-mortem examination will take place at a later date, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.

Gardaí confirmed that the coroner has been notified and that investigations into the discovery are ongoing.
A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Mirror: “Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of the body of an adult male on the grounds of a premises on St Nessans Road, Limerick on Thursday, 19 September.
“The body has since been removed from the scene and a post-mortem examination will take place at a later date, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.
“The coroner has been notified. Investigations are ongoing.”
The Irish Mirror has contacted the University Hospital of Limerick for comment.
