Tommy Fury 'pulls out of I'm A Celebrity two weeks before show' as he lines up huge fight

Tommy Fury 'pulls out of I'm A Celebrity at the last minute' as he gets a more lucrative offer

Former Love Island star Tommy Fury has reportedly decided another reality TV show is not for him and dropped out of the 2024 series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here

It's claimed Tyson Fury's little brother has received a more lucrative offer and has opted to enter the boxing ring to fight KSI once again rather than brave it Down Under in the Australian jungle with the likes of Coleen Rooney.

The boxer, who recently split from fiancée Molly-Mae Hague, had been discussing joining the hit ITV reality show with producers for some time before deciding to turn it down, although the show's start date is fast approaching.

A disappointed TV source revealed: "Bosses are surprised Tommy has pulled out of I'm A Celebrity at this late stage as it would have been a great opportunity for him."

They added optimistically to The Sun: "Thankfully, execs already had some great names waiting in the wings so they'll be looking at which ones fit best into the line-up already booked so they can deliver a truly great series."

The news comes just days on from Tommy dodging questions about his possible jungle stint. When grilled about signing up for the starred reality show on Heart Breakfast last week, he responded: "Listen, a lot of things in my life is like a rollercoaster in a minute. There are so many things I might do. You know, could he be doing this? Could he be doing that? To be honest with you, I don't know what I'm doing this afternoon. I mean, I just take literally an hour at a time, so I don't know. There's a lot of things going on in my life right now. So, I'm not sure on anything."

Amanda Holden, Heart Breakfast host, weighed in on Tommy's potential stint, expressing concerns about his dietary needs: "I mean, it would be a brilliant one to do but I would worry about the lack of protein in there. You'd come out a bit deflated, like the Michelin but not the Michelin Man by the end of it."

ITV chiefs had been pinning their hopes on Tommy to ramp up the ratings for their show, anticipating he'd dish the dirt on his jaw-dropping split from Molly-Mae. The lovebirds, who found fame on Love Island's fifth season, set up home together, had a baby in January last year and even got engaged.

Yet they shattered their followers' dreams this summer by revealing their breakup after a five-year whirlwind romance, amidst rumours of infidelity. There had been buzz that Tommy would bare his soul beside the campfire, alongside other celebs, and spill the beans on what truly went down with the social media stars.

An insider had disclosed to The Sun: "Tommy is a great name as a potential campmate as he's already known to the ITV audience and he'd be brilliant in the Bushtucker Trials. Bosses are talking with lots of celebrities ahead of the new series and are determined to make this year's line-up one of the best."

Furthermore, they mentioned: "They also know that the superfit boxer is likely to be a prime candidate for the annual hunk-in-the-jungle shower scenes."
