Larne, the back to back champions in the North, made a losing start to their European league phase, going down 3-0 away to Norwegian outfit Molde.

Larne are eighth in the Premiership table after nine games to date, 11 points off early leaders Linfield but have three games in hand.

Where is the game on?

The game takes place at Windsor Park in Belfast as Larne’s home stadium of Inver Park does not meet UEFA criteria for this stage of the competition.

It is being shown live on Premier Sports 1 and the coverage starts at 5.30pm. In the UK, the match will be on TNT Sports 4. The game is not on LOITV.

The Hoops had an allocation of 2,500, with 1,600 fans expected to travel. Larne have sold their tickets as part of a three-game ‘home’ package with games against Belgian side Gent and Switzerland's St Gallen to come.

What They Say

Larne manager Tiernan Lynch: "I go down south and watch as many games as I can. I've watched Shamrock Rovers on a couple of occasions and their game is very football orientated. Rovers are a fantastic side. You don't win four league titles in a row, get European group stages and get some of the results they have had without being a top side. They have top, top players, they play a really good brand of football, they're all very comfortable on the ball and brave in possession. But as we've seen this season, they are beatable."

Shamrock Rovers manager Stephen Bradley: "I think Larne are a very good team. They’ve obviously been setting the standards in the Irish League for the last couple of seasons. They have a very clear identity in how they play. You mention Andy Ryan up top but there’s other players around the team that can win games for them and cause problems. We’re well aware of Larne’s quality and what they do, but like every game, we’ll try and impose ourselves on the game as quickly as possible and try to win.”
