Around 50 residents in Kyauksaung Kwayt, near Kalaw, have lost their homes due to severe flooding and are in urgent need of assistance. The flood caused significant damage to the main roads, and the homes built along the roadside were swept away.

Locals report that, despite the proximity to the main road, no help has arrived, as people passing by are unaware of the dire situation. Kyauksaung Kwayt is located about half an hour from Kalaw, near the entrance to the town, with seven homes destroyed by the flood, affecting about 50 people, including children.

A local resident shared, "The flood eroded the road, causing the collapse of homes built along the roadside. Despite being visible, no help has reached us yet. We’re struggling to find shelter and food."

While some people are temporarily living with others, six houses have been completely destroyed. One home that narrowly escaped collapse has received a donation of 10 million kyats for repairs from donors and the Spectrum Social Assistance Association. "The repair will allow three families to live together," said an official from the association.

Additionally, the association has provided 50,000 kyats and dried noodles to each affected household to support them during this difficult time.
