Estevao Willian Reveals Why He Joined Chelsea

Brazilian forward, Estevao Willian, has revealed that he decided to join the Premier League club, Chelsea, due to the club’s ambitious plans for the future.

Estevao Willian has completed his medical examinations and finalized the agreement to join Chelsea. But he is expected to make his debut for the Premier League club during the 2025-2026 season.

After completing his move to Chelsea, the 19-year-old Brazilian youngster said, “I decided to join Chelsea because of their plan for the future.

“I was very pleased with that. It was the club that believed in me and trusted in my work.

“I hope I can pay that back.”

Currently showcasing his skills at the Brazilian club Palmeiras, Willian has garnered widespread recognition as one of the most promising talents in global football.

His transfer to Chelsea has created a buzz within the football community, with fans eagerly anticipating his future contributions to the sport.

Estevao Willian started his football career on the Brazilian side, Cruzeiro, under 17 before he moved to Palmeiras in 2021. Chelsea paid the sum of €34 million to complete the signing of the youngster, who is expected to officially move to the Stamford Bridge side on July 1, 2025.

He has scored 15 goals and provided ten assists in 45 games in all competitions for Palmeiras so far this season.
