“Upon arrival at the scene, officers identified a 60-year-old female suffering from life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries,” Const. Art Stele said.

Police say the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the police investigation.

“Initial indicators do not suggest impairment as a factor in the crash,” Stele added.

Gladys Avenue is closed while police remain on scene investigating.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident, and those who may have dashcam footage of the area, to contact the AbbyPD at 604-859-5225.
