Shoppers new 'favourite autumn dress' is 'slimming' midi from Seasalt Cornwall - and it's £46 off

The 'autumnal' dress is proving popular with shoppers and it's now better than half price saving you £46 in the Seasalt Cornwall sale

While some shoppers have been busy snapping up coats, such as the Boscastle Organic Mac, in Seasalt Cornwall's mid-season sale, others have found a 'slimming' midi dress has caught their eye, hailing it their 'new favourite autumn dress'. Now a steal at £39.95 down from £85.95, the better than half-price deal applies for the Meadowsweet Dress in the light blue Cabin Sampler Limpet print and the mustard Flower Grain pattern.

Available in sizes eight to 22, the wardrobe must-have works for every occasion, whether it be a morning walk or an evening dinner. It has a stretchy smocked bodice for a comfortable and flattering fit, and long blouson sleeves that add shape to the silhouette. Made from a lightweight, drapey blend of organic cotton and viscose, the skirt falls just above the ankle and features subtly hidden pockets.

Shoppers rave that it 'hangs beautifully' and 'washes well', looking just as good with 'Dr Martens and a cardigan' as it does dressed up for a formal event. One person said it makes them feel amazing, writing: "This dress is really very flattering and comfortable to wear. It is long in length and the ruching across the top makes it slimming."

Now priced at less than £40, the Meadowsweet Dress has been rated an average score of 4.5 out of five by 92 reviews. A particularly glowing review read: "Love the style of this dress - the shirring is so flattering and fits beautifully. The length is 'midaxi' on me at 5ft 9 but would be equally nice worn as a maxi dress.

"The fabric is a good weight and hangs nicely. It is ideal for the autumn season but the skirt is lined so also would work well worn with tights and a cardigan in cooler weather. Love the print too - I chose the navy option. All in all, a great buy."

Another person showcased the dress's versatility, explaining: "A lovely dress. Looks lovely with the coupling vest on chilly days. Then lovely with heels for an evening.

"Love it will be buying another." And a third said: "I love the fact that this dress is longer length as at 5'8", sometimes midi dresses feel a bit short on me. Not this one - it's a perfect longer length! A very flattering fit with a smocked close fitting bodice.

"Pockets too! I chose the dress in the shore flora onyx pattern, which is lovely for autumn. The material isn't the usual jersey but a fabric with a bit of flow - it hangs beautifully."

That's not to say everyone rated the Seasalt Cornwall dress five stars. Deducting two marks, one shopper said: "Unfortunately, the dress was far too long, which was a pity."
