BBC Strictly Come Dancing's week 4 songs and dances but concerns raised over missing star

Strictly Come Dancing is back on BBC One this weekend with the couples taking on some of the trickiest dances in Latin and Ballroom, but one star is still missing

by · DevonLive

Strictly Come Dancing is set to dazzle audiences on BBC One this weekend as the couples tackle some of the most challenging Latin and Ballroom numbers. With the buzz from Movie Week still in the air, they'll need to amp up their game to deliver even more impressive performances.

But as the excitement builds up for the live show, the BBC has released details on the song and dance choices for the weekend with a noticeable omission. Nick Knowles, who was absent from Movie Week due to an injury, is yet to appear on the roster.

The broadcaster has kept it brief, stating: "We will update with more news on Nick when we have it."

Presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman expressed their hopes for a quick recovery for Nick during last week's programme after his unforeseen withdrawal.

A spokesperson for Strictly said previously: "Unfortunately, Nick Knowles sustained an injury during rehearsals and as a result, will not dance this weekend. As per the rules of the competition, Nick and Luba will receive a bye through to next week when he is hopefully able to dance again.

"Everyone at Strictly Come Dancing wishes Nick a speedy recovery."

It was seen that he rested his injured knee at home while watching the Movie Week event.

Here are the announced songs and dances for this weekend's competition:

Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe will perform a Viennese Waltz to Nobody Gets Me by SZA.

Punam Krishan and Gorka Marquez will bring energy to their Jive with 2 Be Loved (Am I Ready) by Lizzo.

Sam Quek MBE and Nikita Kuzmin will sizzle with a Samba to Shakira's Hips Don't Lie.

Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola are set to charm with a Foxtrot to Birds Of A Feather by Billie Eilish.

Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec will be performing a Charleston to Unhealthy by Anne-Marie, Shania Twain.

Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell are set to Salsa to Down Under by Men At Work.

Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas will be dancing a Salsa to Danza Kuduro by Don Omar ft. Lucenzo.

JB Gill and Amy Dowden are preparing a Rumba to You Might Need Somebody by Kara Marni.

Paul Merson and Karen Hauer will be doing a Quickstep to I Won't Dance by Fred Astaire.

Pete Wicks and Jowitza Przystal are ready for a Quickstep to Town Called Malice by The Jam.

Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu will be performing a Cha Cha to Ain't No Love (Ain't No Use) by Sub Sub feat. Melanie Williams.

Wynne Evans and Katya Jones are set to Tango to Money, Money, Money by ABBA.

Nick expressed his disappointment on Instagram last week saying: "Gutted not to be out there with everyone tonight on the @bbcstrictly dance floor, but still suited up and cheering them on from the sofa."

He has yet to post any updates regarding his training for this week, which has left fans concerned.

Head judge Shirley Ballas provided an update on Virgin Radio UK, stating: "Apparently, he is possibly on the mend."

"We are hoping that by the weekend he will be back because he is an asset to the show."
