Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts were taken aback as Chris McCausland debuted a striking transformation during the show. The glitzy BBC One extravaganza resumed on Saturday (October 5) with the much-anticipated Movie Week special.

Show hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman returned to usher the celebrity contestants back onto the dance floor. Last week saw Tom Dean and his professional partner Nadiya Bychkova being the first to depart following a tense dance-off opposite Toyah Wilcox and Neil Jones.

This week witnessed stars like JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri and Shayne Ward returning to flaunt their renewed dance skills. Judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke were present as ever, delivering their expert assessments of each performance.

The episode's theme called for competitors to embody various movie characters throughout the years, kicked off with a Despicable Me themed spectacle by the professional dancers.

But it was Chris, in full Wayne's World regalia, who drew significant attention alongside his partner Dianne Buswell, as they jived to the film’s soundtrack. However, what really caught the eyes of viewers was Chris’ uncanny resemblance to music sensation Lewis Capaldi, with fans swiftly taking to social media, formerly known as Twitter, to express their enjoyment, with one user exclaiming: "Chris and Dianne were amazing.", reports the Mirror.

Viewers were left in awe of Chris's performance on Strictly Come Dancing, with one fan commenting: "Honestly I'm so impressed with Chris here I've never seen a man who is blind that can dance it is actually brilliant. The costume is amazing. I didn't recognise Chris here he looks like Lewis Capaldi."

Another added their agreement, saying: "That's what I said. Lewis Capaldi, 100%."

A third chimed in with: "When they sub in Lewis Capaldi on Strictly."

Compliments continued as another viewer wrote: "Chris looks like Lewis Capaldi in that wig. Well done fella! Brilliant! " Chris and his dance partner Dianne wowed not only the audience but also the judges, with Craig Revel-Horwood describing their routine as "packed full of fantastic rhythm."

Their efforts were rewarded with an impressive score of 30 from the judges.
