A woman has been taken to hospital after a vehicle crashed into a house in Exeter this afternoon (October 15).

The incident happened shortly before 1pm in Parkway, off Cowick Hill, with multiple emergency services including police, three ambulances and the fire service spotted rushing to the scene.

Videos sent to DevonLive show emergency vehicles responding with blue lights flashing in the area around Cowick Hill at the time of the incident.

And now, Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed that one occupant of the house was taken to hospital, but thankfully her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A police spokesperson said: "Police were called by the ambulance service at around 12.55pm on Tuesday 15 October to Parkway, Exeter, following reports a vehicle had collided with a house.

"An occupant in the property was taken to hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening. We are continuing to liaise with Exeter City Council and Highways regarding the incident."
