BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans 'work out' who will be eliminated after 'deliberate set-up'

Fans are convinced they know who will be eliminated from the competition

Strictly Come Dancing fans reckon one contender is on the verge of departure this week after apparently being "set up" by the show's bosses. The BBC programme returned this week, sending the remaining dance pairs into another whirl around the floor in hopes of securing a spot in the upcoming round, on the heels of Nick Knowles' exit last week.

Today, as Dr Punam and Gorka Marquez took to the dancefloor, fans were convinced she would be leaving the show tomorrow night. Some viewers were sure bosses had "deliberately" put her second in the running order, referred to as the "death slot"

One concerned fan tweeted: "punam in the death slot again? oh they want her gone so bad #Strictly."

Echoing the sentiment, another remarked: "I just said the exact same thing, that's Punam gone this week because they've deliberately put her in the death slot. #Strictly."

The sentiments continued to pour in with tweets like "Punam in the death slot... they want her gone #Strictly," and "Punam in the death slot twice in five weeks isn't nice #Strictly.", reports the Mirror.

This week on Strictly has been marred with controversy after an "inside joke" between Wynne Evans and Katya Jones went horribly wrong. Wynne had put his hand on Katya's waist, which she batted off, and he went to do it again.

The video was picked up on social media and went viral, prompting concerns from fans that Katya felt "uncomfortable".

She later made it clear that she was not uncomfortable and explained it as an inside joke, saying in her post: " I need to make something crystal clear. The hand incident that happened on Saturday night was a very silly inside joke between Wynne and I."

"So even the idea that it made me feel uncomfortable or offended in any way is complete nonsense. It's actually absurd. So let's focus on how brilliantly @wynneevans is doing and what an amazing dancer he's becoming! Happy Sunday everyone! ".

In other show news, last week saw Nick Knowles exit as the fourth celebrity to leave following injury woes. Speaking about his departure from the show, he admitted his main concern was letting Luba down: "I've really, really been surprised by how much I've loved doing it and by two things that happen. One is how much you care each week, and the other is how much you don't want to let down your partner.

"The only reason I could do this is simply because of Luba's changes, she's been amazing. There are some amazing dancers up there, and I will love watching the rest of the series."

An emotional Luba expressed her admiration for Nick, stating: "I've never met someone as determined as you, and I remember you saying that if you do your best, you'll be very happy. I think you did more than your best. Thank you."
