Biker seriously injured in crash with tractor near Exeter

A biker has been seriously injured following a crash near Exeter yesterday, Wednesday October 23. A two-vehicle crash was reported along the A3052 in Clyst St Mary.

Emergency services were called to the scene just before 5pm, where a tractor and bike were involved in a crash. The busy A-road was completely closed and drivers were warned to avoid the area.

At the time of the crash, a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told DevonLive: "Police were called at 4.40pm to the A3052 at Clyst St Mary, following a report of a collision involving a motorbike and a tractor.

"The bike rider is believed to have sustained injuries, but the extent is not known at this time.

"The road is currently closed while emergency service are in attendance and drivers should expect traffic delays in the area."

This morning, it has been confirmed that the male biker sustained serious leg injuries. A spokesperson for the force said: "The male motorcyclist sustained serious leg injuries. Road closures were lifted just before 6pm."
