Emmerdale fans 'work out' identity of Vinny Dingle's real dad after mum bombshell

Emmerdale enthusiasts are sure they've pieced together the puzzle of Vinny Dingle's father's identity following the revelation of his biological mother on Monday (October 21).

Vinny, portrayed by Bradley Johnson, was left by his dad Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale) and has since been lovingly brought up by Mandy Dingle, played by Lisa Riley, Paul's ex.

Despite not sharing DNA, Vinny is embraced as family. The mystery of Vinny's mum lingered for years until Tina Dingle (Samantha Power) made her dramatic return to the village after almost 30 years away.

Tina, who appeared on Thursday (October 17) for her father Zak Dingle's, previously played by Steve Halliwell, sake, broke the news to a tearful Mandy: "I've come for everything that is mine. Vinny is such a sweet boy, it makes me sad thinking about everything I have missed out on."

A distraught Mandy was reminded by Tina's aggressive stance that she wanted more than just Zak's house—she wanted her son back. She declared: "It doesn't matter. What's mine is mine. My house, my son."

This left Mandy fearing the worst as Tina's claim threatened to expose the truth, reports Leeds Live.

However, Tina's bombshell set the internet abuzz with speculation over the true identity of Vinny's real father, especially considering Tina's past connection with Frank Tate (Norman Bowler) in the 1990s, to whom she declined a marriage proposal.

Speculation is rife among viewers who now believe Frank could be Vinny's real father. A viewer shared on X: "Low-key think Tina's backstory as Vinny's mum is gonna be really good #Emmerdale."

Another fan pondered: "So is #Vinny the lovechild of #FrankTate on #Emmerdale? ."

Yet another added their thoughts: "Do we're now supposed to believe Mandy's ex had a bounce with Tina and had Vinny how bloody stupid is that."

An additional comment came from someone else: "Well, fancy that, Vinny is actually a REAL Dingle! And before anyone suggests it...Vinny was born in 2001. NOT another of Frank Tate's children".
