Keith Duffy celebrates 50th birthday with family in New York

The BoyzLife singer is marking the milestone birthday in New York City surrounded by loved ones and took the time out to thank his fans for all of their well wishes

Keith Duffy thanked his family, friends and fans for their support as he celebrated his 50th birthday in New York this week.

The Boyzone singer is marking the milestone occasion in the Big Apple with his loved ones and took to Instagram to reflect on turning 50.

While out and about on the town, Keith posted an emotional video to thank everyone for their love and support.

He said: "I’m in New York celebrating my 50th birthday. I’ve received messages from friends I haven’t heard from in such a long time. I just want to say thank you so much for all of your kind wishes. I’m here with my family, we’re having a wonderful time. I’m very very lucky to have the support of all of you."

"I’m doing this with my glasses on at night time because I’ve had a few drinks and it’s my 50h birthday," the singer jokingly added.

"I just wanted to say thank you so much to everybody for their kind wishes and support. I love you all. I’ll see you all down the road at some stage."

Keith was inundated with well wishes from his followers, as well as his famous pals.

Corrie star Ryan Thomas wrote: "One of life’s great blessed to you have you in my life love you Always Duffy happy birthday you little stunner".

"Happy birthday pal," Ireland legend Robbie Keane added.

Sheena Lynch, wife of Boyzone bandmate Shane, said: "Happy birthday Keith, God bless."

While The Script's Glen Power commented: "Happy Birthday Keith!"

Keith's grown-up son Jay, who works as an actor also paid a sweet tribute to his dad on his birthday.

He wrote on Instagram: "I don’t know if it’s you who looks young or my few whiskers making me look old but here’s to more years of you getting away with calling yourself my brother to strangers, more years of health and happiness and more years of being best mates.

"Thank you for being you and setting the standard of fatherhood every day. Im proud to be your son/brother."

Keith shares on Jay and daughter Mia with wife Lisa. 50 is a big year for the star, as he gears up to go on a world tour with BoyzLife member and best pal Brian McFadden.
