The influencer, who had been dating Liam since 2022, has now broken her silence on the tragedy with a statement on social media.

Posting on Instagram, Kate wrote: "Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way.

"I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real. I ask and pray that you’ll give me the space to navigate this in private.

"Liam, my angel, you are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely.

"I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam."

Liam and Kate had been holidaying in Argentina prior to his passing, and recently enjoyed a night out together at his former bandmate Niall Horan's concert in Buenos Aires.

Kate flew home to Florida before Liam died, and took to TikTok at the time to explain why she was heading home.

"I was so ready to leave. Love South America, but I hate staying in one place for too long and we were supposed to be there for five days, turned into two weeks and I was just like, 'I need to go home.'," she said.

In the video Kate showcased her luxurious flight experience, complete with a steak meal, and humorously pointed out that her seat number was "1D," reminiscent of Liam's former band. Additionally, she mentioned that she typically travels with a Squishmallow but had left hers with Liam.

Kate's words come as tributes continue to pour in for Liam following the shocking news.

His bandmates Niall, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik issued joint and individual statements, while music mogul Simon Cowell said is "heartbroken" and "feels empty".

Ed Sheeran, who wrote a number of songs for One Direction, shared his condolences and urged people to "be kind" online, while Robbie Williams extended his sympathy to Liam's family, likening the 31-year-old's struggles to his own back in the day.
