Liverpool ‘enter poker’ to sign Salah replacement – Reds starting moves early

by · Sport Witness

Liverpool are keen on signing Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi next summer.

That’s according to Bild, and their title says; ‘Liverpool hot for Adeyemi’.

The forward has starred for BVB this season, scoring five goals and registering five assists from eight matches. This includes a hattrick in their 7-1 win over Celtic in the Champions League on Tuesday.

His performances have caught Liverpool’s attention, and their scout has watched the 22-year-old in action for BVB on several occasions.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah’s deal expires in 2025, and his long-term future still needs to be clarified. The Reds are looking for his successor and Adeyemi is included in their list.

It’s claimed the Reds have ‘entered the poker game’ to sign him. Bild insists Arne Slot’s side are ‘ready for a mega-transfer’ for the Germany international. The Merseyside club are said to be willing to offer €50m for the attacker.

Adeyemi arrived at the Bundesliga side from Red Bull Salzburg in 2022 and signed a deal until 2027. After the clash against Celtic, Bild asked him if he plans to move abroad in the future.

Responding that, he said: “I feel great here in Dortmund. I was a big fan even as a little boy!”

This indicates Liverpool have to convince the player if they wish to sign him in 2025.
