Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster Hugo Bueno has found himself being praised after impressing for Feyenoord in the Champions League.

Dennis Kranenburg of RTV Rijnmond is full of praise for the Wolves man today, with his comments relayed by Soccer News.

The 22-year-old is spending the season on loan at Feyenoord after it became apparent, he was not a part of Wolves’ or Gary O’Neil’s plans for this season.

He’s had something of a slow start to the season so far as an injury early in the season has limited him to 407 minutes so far

88 of those minutes came this week as he started the 3-1 win over Benfica in the Champions League on Wednesday.

His introduction to the competition has been a positive one so far as he managed 71 minutes in the 3-2 away win over Girona at the beginning of this month also.

And the Wolves loanee’s latest display didn’t go unnoticed by Kranenburg, who was keen to praise the defender and single him out in his coverage of the game.

“I also thought Hugo Bueno played a great match again,” he said in his column for RTV Rijnmond.

“I am glad that he was fit in time, because he is someone who can really make the difference. You have Gijs Smal, and the other option is to move Hancko, but with Trauner he is a bit more comfortable in the center.”
