West Ham choose candidate in case Lopetegui shown door – Manager up for challenge

by · Sport Witness

As West Ham continue to struggle to pick up points in the Premier League, Julen Lopetegui’s future at the club will come into question.

The Spaniard’s side were hammered 4-1 by Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, raising further question marks about his plans with the London club, who are currently 15th in the table.

There’s a claim from Germany that the Hammers are already looking around for potential alternatives, and it’s no shock to see Edin Terzic get a mention.

Florian Plettenberg reports Terzic is a candidate to replace the Spaniard, with him having worked under Slaven Bilic during his time at West Ham.

He would be open to a return in a managerial capacity, having managed Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final last season.

There is also interest from AC Milan and club advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made initial contact, but Lopetegui’s position at the Hammers seems more uncertain than Paulo Fonseca’s at Milan.

West Ham’s next game will see them take on Manchester United and it could end up determining Lopetegui’s future… or that of Erik ten Hag!
