Marks & Spencer shoppers have been snapping up a "beautiful" jacket for the autumn months that has earned fans for its versatile look which makes it suitable for any occasion.

The high street retailer's Bomber Jacket is climbing up the bestseller list as the retro favourite becomes a must-have style for the new season, with its understated look making it perfect for throwing on over any outfit to stay warm and cosy while looking bang on trend. Priced at £49.50, the jacket comes in sophisticated navy or hunter green shades, finished off with a classic baseball collar, popper fastenings and side pockets.

Available in sizes six to 24 and made from lightweight material perfect for the unpredictable weather and the transition into cooler days, the jacket is fully lined for extra comfort and has received rave reviews from M&S shoppers so far. Fans of the autumn wardrobe staple praised it as "very trendy", saying it "can be dressed up or down" and "goes with everything".

"Love this jacket - good quality, stylish and easy to wear," one person wrote in a five-star review.

Another M&S shopper agreed: "Fab jacket, looks amazing and elevates everything you wear it with. Fantastic quality."

And a third reviewer raved: "Soft and stylish. Beautiful fabric and the right length sitting at my hips. Can't wait to wear it!"

While the jacket has earned an average rating of 4.6 out of five stars so far, a few customers had complaints about its sizing, with one person remarking that they found it "too short in the body" while several others said they had to size down. To get a similar look for less, there are also some more budget-friendly options elsewhere on the high street - such as the Brushed Crop Bomber Jacket at New Look, which comes in black, grey or camel and is currently on sale for just £27.74 with 25% off.

Another sale offer can be snapped up over at Mango, where the Oversized Bomber Jacket in khaki has seen its price slashed from £59.99 down to £29.99. Or to really make a statement with your autumn wardrobe, Next is offering a Quilt Bomber Jacket in either an eye-catching animal print or striking multi-coloured patch print for £69.

Back at M&S, this isn't the only bomber jacket in the retailer's autumn fashion range that has been turning heads recently - for a more snug option ideal for the upcoming chilly days, the Faux Fur Bomber Jacket is also a popular choice. Priced at £69, the jacket is designed with a classic baseball-style rib neckline with ribbed cuffs and hem to complete the timeless look, while the cream faux fur gives it a designer vibe.

Finished off with a zip-up front, pockets and a cosy lining, shoppers have hailed this fashion staple as the "perfect addition" to their autumn wardrobe. "Gorgeous jacket, so soft and great fit. Can be worn with anything," one person praised in a five-star review, while others said it felt "cuddly" and "super cosy" on, ideal for winter days out - read more about it here.
