Amazon has slashed prices on its Fire TVs ahead of its Prime Big Deal Days sale event launching tomorrow (October 8) - with several of the smart TVs now at their cheapest ever.

The limited time deal means that you can get the Amazon Fire TV 32-inch 2-Series HD Smart TV for just £139.99, with more than £100 to save compared to its full price of £249.99. If you've had your eye on one of these TVs for a while, this is the cheapest option available right now, and according to Amazon price tracker CamelCamelCamel is the lowest price ever offered for this model since it first launched in March 2023.

There's also the option to upgrade to a 40-inch 2-Series Fire TV for £199.99, with a tidy £100 off in the Amazon sale - but be aware that there's only limited stock available at this price, so be sure to snap it up before it goes. The 2-Series models are the most budget-friendly option when it comes to Fire TVs, offering HD viewing - but if you want to take watching your favourite shows and films to the next level, Amazon has also dropped prices on some of its 4-Series 4K Ultra-HD models.

The cheapest of these is the Amazon Fire TV 43-inch 4-series 4K UHD Smart TV, now £229.99 down from £429.99, or you can upgrade to the larger 50-inch 4-Series for £299.99 (was £499.99) or the 55-inch 4-Series for £329.99 (was £549.99) - all three of which are now on offer for their lowest ever prices. The 4K Ultra HD display promises to deliver "a clearer and more vibrant picture with brighter colours" compared to standard HD.

Or, for the ultimate viewing experience, you can choose a TV from Amazon's Omni QLED range - and now is the best time to do so, with up to £320 to save. The Fire TV 43-inch Omni QLED series 4K UHD Smart TV is the smallest and cheapest choice at £299.99 reduced from £549.99, with the 50-inch Omni QLED also discounted to £379.99 (was £649.99) as well as the 55-inch Omni QLED to £429.99 (was £749.99).

If your budget doesn't stretch to a new TV, there is another option that will upgrade your existing TV for a fraction of the price. The Amazon Fire TV Stick has also dropped from £44.99 down to its lowest ever price of £16.99 in the early Prime Big Deal Days sale.

At this price, the TV Stick is a no-brainer for anyone who loves bingeing all their favourite TV shows and movies in one place, as it can simply be plugged into your TV to turn it into a smart TV with access to all the biggest streaming services, apps and live channels. It is also equipped with virtual assistant Alexa so you can search and control content using your voice.

Amazon isn't the only retailer offering discounts on TVs in the run-up to Black Friday and the festive season, with Currys also slashing prices on popular brands including Samsung, LG, Hisense and Toshiba. One of the most popular options under £500 is the LG 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD TV, now on sale for £449 reduced from £649.99, while for households on a tight budget the Toshiba 32" HD Smart TV is now just £149.99 with £50 off.

And over at Argos, the number one top-rated option when it comes to TVs out of nearly 300 products is the Bush 32-Inch Smart HD Ready TV, which is exclusive to the retailer and has a price tag of £149.99. It is closely followed by the exclusive Samsung 50-Inch Smart 4K LED TV, priced at £299.

Back at Amazon, don't forget that the Prime Big Deal Days event kicks off tomorrow (October 8), with prices expected to drop on thousands of products from tech and household essentials to fashion and beauty - perfect for getting ahead on Christmas shopping. The deals will be available exclusively to Amazon Prime subscribers, but non-members can currently take advantage of a 30-day free trial of the service, which is usually priced at £8.99, to access the offers at no extra cost.
