Amazon knocks £160 off 'incredible' electric toothbrush in massive Prime Day offer

The Philips Sonicare 7900 Series Electric Toothbrush has seen a huge £160 reduction in the two-day sale, bringing its price down from £249.99 to £89.99. The number one bestselling sonic toothbrush on Amazon, this gadget promises to remove up to seven times more plaque than a manual toothbrush, helping you to achieve whiter teeth in just one week.
The toothbrush is equipped with four brushing modes and three intensity levels to customise your clean, and there's even a Philips Sonicare app you can connect to where you will receive personalised insights and guidance on your brushing. Its advanced sonic technology pulses fluid between teeth and along the gum line for a cleaner and brighter smile, making it the number one dentist-recommended sonic toothbrush brand.
It is also designed with a sensor which will make the handle pulse if you apply too much pressure, helping to protect your teeth and gums. This toothbrush has racked up an average rating of 4.4 out of five stars based on more than 5,000 reviews from Amazon shoppers.
One person raved in a five-star review: "Best electric toothbrush I have ever had. Has different intensities and setting. Dentist has noticed a difference also."
Another reviewer agreed: "This brush really does an amazing job and leaves you with a very clean feeling, it comes with two different heads and has a very nice premium material and feel to it. The battery lasts quite long and doesn't require charging every couple day."
A third shopper fed back: "I have tried loads of electric toothbrushes and Philips are the best by a long way. I have sensitive teeth but had no troubles with this bad boy. A pleasant experience and it cleans really well."

Overall, around three in every four shoppers (74%) awarded the Philips Sonicare 7900 the full five stars. However, some reviewers who withheld stars complained that it "didn't last", with one person saying that theirs broke after a year of use while another fed back that theirs only lasted eight months.
Elsewhere in Amazon's Prime Day sale, there are several offers to be had on electric toothbrushes from bestselling brand Oral-B. One of the biggest discounts is on the Oral-B Smart 6 Electric Toothbrush which has a whopping 70% off, bringing its price down from £220 to £65 - this toothbrush comes with an impressive average rating of 4.6 out of five stars based on nearly 19,000 reviews.
For a more budget-friendly option there's the Oral-B Pro 3 Electric Toothbrush, now available for £36.99 with 63% off its £100 price tag. This beats Boots' sale price of £40, although the high street retailer is currently offering £5 worth of Advantage Card points to shoppers who buy one of the Oral B Pro 3 products, so if you have the reward card this just edges out Amazon's deal.
The Amazon Prime Big Deal Days event ends at midnight on October 9, with prices having dropped on thousands of items from tech and household essentials to fashion and beauty, perfect for getting ahead on Christmas shopping. Most of the deals are available exclusively to Amazon Prime subscribers, but non-members can currently take advantage of a 30-day free trial of the service, which is usually priced at £8.99, to access the offers at no extra cost.
