Suspected cultists kill 40-year-old man in Ogun
by Hassan Muaz · The Eagle OnlineSuspected cultists on Saturday killed a 40-year-old man, Adeleke Adeyinka, in Ogun State.
According to information available to The Eagle Online, the incident occurred at about 12:30pm in Oke-Ilewo, Ibara area of Abeokuta.
The suspected cultists, who rode in an unregistered Toyota Corolla sports car, were reported to be armed with a pump action shotgun and a pistol.
The assailants were said to have fled before security operatives arrived, while one Adesanya Adeyinka requested for the body of Adeleke for burial without autopsy or doctor’s examination.

The spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the killing of Adeleke to The Eagle Online.
Odutola, a Superintendent of Police, said: “We have taken photographs of the scene and normalcy has been restored in the area.
“Investigation into the gruesome killing has commenced.”
She said that the police will begin routine patrol of the area, adding: Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.”
