Does Garth Brooks' Kids & Wife Trisha Yearwood Believe Him After He Denied Rape Accusation? Source Says...

Is Garth Brooks’ family sticking by him after those disturbing allegations against him?

As we reported, the country music star was accused of sexual assault and battery by a now-former makeup artist identified as Jane Doe in a lawsuit filed on Thursday. The woman claimed he brutally raped her in 2019 and also groped, sent her sexually explicit texts, repeatedly exposed his genitals in her presence, made “repeated remarks about “having a threesome with” his wife Trisha Yearwood, and more. So, so horrible.

Garth denied the accusations hours later that same day, claiming he was a victim of a “hush money” grab for the past two months. The 62-year-old singer noted he filed a lawsuit in Mississippi to try to stop the woman from going public with the claims — which he insists are “lies.” He explained:

“Hush money, no matter how much or how little, is still hush money. In my mind, that means I am admitting to behavior I am incapable of — ugly acts no human should ever do to another. We filed suit against this person nearly a month ago to speak out against extortion and defamation of character. We filed it anonymously for the sake of families on both sides.”

Garth then insisted he was “not the man they have painted me to be.” But does his family agree? Do they believe what he says? A source who recently worked with the Friends in Low Places artist told Us Weekly on Saturday that they do! In fact, everyone around him, including his wife and his three adult daughters, whom he shares with ex-wife Sandy Mahl, was “shocked” by the accusations. The insider shared:

“Garth is known to be a very kind and nice man, so these allegations are very shocking. Everyone around him including Trisha and his daughters believe him to be telling the truth. Many around him think this is out of character and something he would never do. Everyone around him is shocked. All Garth cares about is his family and his fans. He is a family man and is very down to earth.”

Hmm. At this time, neither Trisha nor his kids have addressed the accusations. We will just have to see how this all plays out. Thoughts, Perezcious readers? Sound off in the comments!
