Molly-Mae Hague revealed she 'went through hell and back' following the birth of her daughter Bambi, as she candidly detailed the 'dark times' she's faced.

The former Love Island star, 25, offered insight into her first weeks of motherhood in a new Q&A with her sister Zoe.

During the chat, Molly-Mae confessed that she went through a 'breakdown' after she gave birth to her daughter in 2023, admitting that at the time she hadn't had much experience with babies.

She said: 'The only child I had held was Bobby, which is Fran's son, that's the only child I'd been around, I really had no idea.

'Those first few weeks of Bambi's life… hell and back. We were having a breakdown.'

Molly-Mae and her sister also discussed the advice they'd give to other first-time mothers, with Zoe saying: 'Amy Hart, when she had her baby, Stanley, they really split it, so he would do the night shift, she would do the day shift, and I do think sleep is the way forward.

'So if you've got help and got your partner there with you, rather than doing it all together.'

Molly-Mae then shared the mistake that she and ex Tommy made, chiming in: 'That's what we did wrong. We did it all together. You have to get your sleep.'

'Don't push help away. There's really weird messaging that goes about for new mums, 'don't have visitors the first month, have your time, put your boundaries in place'.

'I see it all the time and I really took that on board way too heavily. I basically said no visitors and I wanted to be able to say I had all this time with just me and her to bond.

'The first night with Bambi in the house, I was by myself. Now I look back, it sends shivers down my spine, I had no idea what I was doing.'

Molly-Mae also offered insight into the 'dark times' she faced when she was breastfeeding Bambi, sharing: 'I was breastfeeding and it was, wow. Dark. That was dark, dark times.

'I think it's lovely to give it a go but don't put any pressure on yourself because that's what I was doing and I genuinely think that contributed to my milk supply just giving up on me.'

The star also revealed that she recently took Bambi for her first day at nursery, but things took a 'disastrous' turn when she found her visibly upset when she came to collect her.

Molly-Mae revealed: 'Bambi started nursery. She had her first day, 9:30am until 3pm the other day.

'She had three taster sessions, two that were one hour long and one that was two hours long and the two hour session was a bit of a disaster to be honest with you.

'When I picked her up she was severely upset, I'd never seen her cry like that before.

'Something wasn't sitting right with me. It didn't feel right. I don't have to put Bambi in nursery for childcare purposes, I can have her at home with me, that's not an issue.

'It was more for her benefit that I wanted to send her.'

Molly-Mae announced her split from Tommy in August and since then reports surfaced claiming the boxer, also 25, was unfaithful.

In his first interview since their split, Tommy told The Mail his side of the story and said he 'absolutely did not cheat on her.'

Molly-Mae then shared the mistake that she and ex Tommy made during their early weeks as parents, admitting they should have divided up responsibilities

Speaking to The Mail last week, Tommy admitted: 'It is proper love. Do I still love Molly? 100 per cent. I will love her until my final breath.'

'I know what I have to do in order to resolve things. And that's down to me. Nobody else can do that other than me.'

Over the summer, Molly-Mae shared the shock news that she had split from fiancé Tommy following months of off and on again speculation.

Reports at the time claimed Tommy was dumped by her after he 'cheated on her with a Danish woman he met' on a holiday in North Macedonia.

Addressing the rumours he said: 'All the allegations that were made of me recently are completely false. The truth will come out in time and when it does I think a lot of people might regret their actions and unkind words.

'What the public thinks is going on isn't what is going on. It's not something I envisaged happening, but it didn't come out of nowhere. It's a thing that was there previously to all this happening, but the only people who know what is going on in our relationship is me and Molly.'

Meanwhile, Molly-Mae has been focusing on her clothing line Maebe, which launched last week, telling MailOnline she was looking forward to a 'new era' in her life after the split.

In an exclusive interview the influencer said she felt 'emotional' but was channeling all her energy into the couple's one-year-old daughter, Bambi, and her new clothing line Maebe.

She told of how the past six months have been a juggling act and she has found parenting as well as running her existing businesses 'tricky.'

But navigating the launch of her fashion label alongside the end of her five-year relationship has given Molly the chance to focus on the next chapter as she admits: 'It was really good timing for this to happen for me. It has all just aligned perfectly.'

Molly told MailOnline: 'When I became a mum, I changed a lot as a person and different things became important to me in terms of fashion, it was the right time to launch Maebe. I was really ready to sink my teeth into something new.

'I have a really good feeling about this new era of my life and think it's going to be so special and a great thing for me to focus on and put my time into as well as being a mum to Bambi.

'It was really good timing for this to happen for me. It has all just aligned perfectly really. I am so excited about it... I really do have an amazing feeling about the brand. I see Maebe having a huge future.'
