Cadbury brings back festive treat as fans insist 'it's never too soon'

Cadbury has announced the return of a festive fan favourite much to the delight of chocolate lovers across the UK.

The Mini Snowballs range has now returned to supermarket shelves - and the Christmas-themed treats have already been snapped up by eager fans. 

The range includes an 80g and 270g bag of Mini Snowballs, which retails from £1.50 and £4.25 respectively, as well as a 110g Mini Snowballs bar, retailing from £1.50.

Made with sustainably sourced cocoa, the Mini Snowballs bag contains Cadbury milk chocolate balls wrapped in a crisp sugar shell with a dusting of icing sugar, while the Mini Snowballs bar contains chocolate with mini snowballs inclusions.

The products are currently available to purchase at major retailers across the UK, including Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose

The chocolate giant announced the return of the seasonal treats on Instagram on October 9 with a video of fans excitedly rushing to their local Sainsbury's store to snap up the snack.

A caption accompanied the clip, which read: 'PSA: Cadbury Snowballs have hit the shelves! Is it too soon, or are we just getting a head start on the Christmas magic?'

Dozens of delighted fans took to the comments to share their joy, with one exclaiming: 'We have been waiting since last Christmas!'

Another said: 'On my list for this weekend,' while a third wrote: 'Its never too soon for these!!'

One eagle-eyed fan admitted they'd already indulged in the treat, adding: 'I've eaten 3 packets already. They're the best.'

Another commented: 'Yay! My favourite! Even better than mini eggs.'

Meanwhile, Cadbury has delighted chocoholics everywhere by confirming that a limited edition product will be available on UK supermarket shelves just in time for Christmas.

Made with real peppermint oil, flavoured milk chocolate and honeycombed granules, the Dairy Milk Winter Mint Crisp bar is set to make its much-anticipated return for the festive season.

The minty treat, which has been a favourite in Ireland since 1939, will also make an appearance in Cadbury's retro selection box.
