Aldi finally unveils its Christmas range - here are the 5 best buys

Aldi has launched its indulgent Christmas range, filled with old favourites and appealing new additions - and, from the 21 products announced today, we have selected the top five best buys.

While the German-born supermarket has everything you need for a traditional yuletide meal, it has also launched interesting alternatives to spice things up.

'Party food' is a prime example of where Aldi wasn't afraid to go off piste, with the retailer now serving up Breaded Chicken Doughnuts, Bao Buns and Wagyu Beef Sliders amongst other finger foods.

And while Aldi has announced 21 Christmas products today, there's still much more to come. 

Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi, said: 'This is just a taste of what’s to come at the Christmas Retailer of the Year so shoppers should keep an eye out for more!'

The four alcoholic beverages included in this year's Christmas range are already available in stores, with the other products set to hit shelves over the next few weeks and months.

Here FEMAIL reveals our top five best buys from Aldi's just-launched Christmas range...

1. SPECIALLY SELECTED WHOLE LOBSTER (£9.99, 400G) 

Priced at £9.99, this indulgent lobster main is back for another year. A tasty Christmas miracle, Aldi shoppers can enjoy this mouthwatering treat on the cheap from November 6. 

2. NEW SPECIALLY SELECTED RUBY PORT, FIG AND CHEESE PUFF PASTRY MINCE PIES (£2.59, 6 PACK)

From November 1, shoppers can enjoy a new twist on the classic mince pie. Fresh figs and pears are soaked in Ruby Port before being blended with mincemeat. 

Encased in all-butter puff pastry, these delicious mince pies are topped with Italian hard cheese. 

3. SPECIALLY SELECTED LUXURY CHEESE TRUCKLE TOWER (£12.99, 1KG) 

Doubling up as a dramatic centrepiece for your yuletide table, this impressive tower available from December 6 features Extra Mature Coastal Cheddar (400g), Aged Red Leicester (300g), Wensleydale with Cranberry and Cassis Flavour (200g), and Balsamic Onion Cheddar (100g). 

4. NEW SPECIALLY SELECTED SLOW COOKED TWO BIRD ROAST 

Hitting Aldi stores on December 19, the tasty two bird roast is made of turkey and chicken stuffed with a gluten-free pork and cranberry stuffing. 

Topped with British bacon, it is accompanied by a cherry and red wine glaze.

5. NEW Specially Selected Ultimate Gold Coin (£6.99, 470g) 

Encased in a gorgeous Belgian Chocolate shell, the supermarket's super-indulgent dessert is its most decadent yet.
