A woman was taken into custody early Tuesday morning in Los Angeles after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend.

Police were called out to the Arlington Heights neighborhood at around 2:50am on reports of an assault with a deadly weapon, KTLA originally reported.

Stunning video showed the moment cops arrived at Washington Boulevard and 5th Avenue and detained a dark-haired woman whose eyeliner was smudged.

The video also showed a man, who was later confirmed to be her boyfriend, bleeding from stab wounds to his upper torso.

The Los Angeles Police Department declined to identify the woman or her boyfriend, nor did it say whether the woman has been charged with any crime.

The LAPD did confirm that this isn't a homicide investigation

It isn't known if the man was attacked inside the vehicle or somewhere else, however, pictures from the scene appeared to show blood on the windshield.

As his girlfriend was being handcuffed, he was seen being helped out of the car by officers.

He was then wheeled on a stretcher to an ambulance as he bled all over his bare chest and back.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment in stable condition, according to the LAPD.

DailyMail.com approached the LA District Attorney's Office for comment.

As of now, the woman remains in police custody as investigators continue to piece together a possible motive for the incident.
