Victoria's Secret original Angels then and now

Victoria's Secret's legendary Angels spread their wings as they walked the runway at the 2024 fashion show on Tuesday night after a six-year hiatus.

Adriana Lima, Tyra Banks, Jasmine Tookes, Candice Swanepoel, Barbara Palvin, Behati Prinsloo, Doutzen Kroes and Taylor Hill made their comeback to the stage at the show-stopping show.

Coming out of a six-year retirement, Adriana, 43, made her highly-anticipated runway return on Tuesday. 

The Brazilian beauty, 43, shocked fans with her taut face as she showed off her age-defying looks in a sparkling black bikini.

She announced her triumphant comeback to the lingerie brand on Monday, six years after her shock departure in 2018.

Insiders claim she was compelled to return for the brand's first show since 2019 after being accused of tweaking her face and looking 'unrecognisable' at a Hunger Games premiere last year.

Adriana first signed on with the VS brand in 1999 and quickly earned her wings to become a coveted VS Angel the following year.

She then shocked fans on announcing her retirement from the brand in November 2018 after nearly two decades.

Tyra, 50, put on a busty display as she walked the runway in a bedazzled black corset and bra, teamed with matching sparkling leggings and heels.

She had all eyes on her as she closed out the show in the look which also featured a metallic silver coat that grazed the floor.

The America's Next Top Model host walked in her first fashion show for the lingerie brand in 1996.

Her final Victoria’s Secret runway appearance took place in 2005, before she embarked on a career in television.

Jasmine, 33, flaunted her a phenomenal figure as she walked the runway in a racy white lace bra and matching lace bottoms.

She completed her angelic beaded blue look with a sheer top and a pair of sparkly wrap around silver heels.

Jasmine walked her first-ever Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2012 after becoming a model at the age of 15.

In 2015, she became a Victoria's Secret Angel and was selected to wear the $10million Royal Fantasy Bra at the 2016 show.

Victoria's Secret favourite Candice Swanepoel, 35, also made her long-awaited catwalk return.

The blonde beauty left very little to the imagination in a sparkly bra, thong underwear and wings that spelled out 'Victoria's Secret' in elegant cursive lettering.

Candice has a long history with VS that dates back 17 years. The knockout walked her first Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2007.

In 2010, Candice became a Victoria's Secret Angel, which is a big honour for the brand and three years later, she was named the cover model of the coveted Victoria's Secret Swim Catalogue.

She was chosen to wear the Fantasy Bra in the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

The bra and its matching belt featured over 4,200 precious gems, including rubies, diamonds and yellow sapphires set in 18 carat gold with a 52-carat ruby at the centre.

Barbara Palvin, 31, also put on a busty display in a low-cut sparkly gown worn with silver chrome wings as the Hungarian beauty returned to the catwalk.

The brunette bombshell walked her first Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2012, before taking a six-year hiatus from the brand.

During those six years, Barbara focused on other projects with Sports Illustrated and Maxim, to name a few. 

Barbara returned to the runway in 2018 before becoming the first Hungarian Victoria's Secret Angel the following year.

Adam Levine's model wife Behati Prinsloo, 36 — who became an Angel back in 2009 — stunned onlookers in her own sexy all-black getup.

She modelled a black slip dress with a sexy thigh-high slit, tie-wrap heels and unique silver chrome wings.

Behati looks liked she'd barely aged a day since her debut on the runway as she showed off her incredibly youthful visage.

She has walked in 10 shows from 2007 to 2018 and opened consecutive Victoria's Secret Fashion shows in 2014 and 2015.

The show also saw the return of Victoria's Secret vet Doutzen Kroes.

The 39-year-old looked angelic wearing silver metallic wings and a tiny pastel pink bra and panty set.

Doutzen was a Victoria's Secret Angel from 2008 to 2014, and in 2013 she made history as the first model to land four different solo international covers of Vogue's September issue in a single year.

Despite her success, Doutzen didn't dream of becoming a model and only started doing it as a way to earn extra pocket money as a teen.

Taylor Hill, 28, also dazzled on Tuesday in a crystal-covered bra and loose pants with wings covered in beaded tassels.

Her barely-there top was styled with a pink Victoria's Secret thong and the brand's favourite pink and white stripe pyjama bottoms.

Taylor first walked for Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2014 at the age of 18.
