Man fatally shot during supermarket robbery in St Elizabeth

The police in St Elizabeth are searching for hoodlums who shot and killed a man during a robbery at a supermarket in Maggotty.

The deceased has been identified as 62-year-old Aggrey Atkinson of Russell in Balaclava the parish.

Reports are that about 12:10 p.m. on Saturday, Atkinson was at the supermarket when he was shot by armed men during a robbery of the establishment.

He was assisted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 

An investigation is being undertaken by the Maggotty Criminal Investigation Branch.
