Soldier accidentally shoots himself while mounting patrol vehicle
· The GleanerA soldier was this afternoon injured when his rifle discharged and shot him accidentally while in Spanish Town, St Catherine.
He was reportedly mounting a patrol vehicle that was parked in front of the Spanish Town Police Station on Burke Road when the incident happened.
He was rushed to the nearby Spanish Town Hospital by colleagues.
His condition is unknown at this time.
