Body of man found along roadway in Claremont, St Ann

The police in St Ann have launched an investigation into the gunning down of a man whose body was found along the side of a road in Claremont.

He is yet to be identified.

Reports are that about 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, passers-by stumbled upon the body along the Trafalgar main road and alerted the police.

Checks made found the man on the side of the road with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

The body was removed and an investigation launched by the St Ann's Bay Criminal Investigation Branch.
