Cyclone Dana affects weather in MP

Under the impact of cyclone Dana, the weather of Madhya Pradesh continues to fluctuate, for now the weather will remain the same till Diwali Dhanteras, because the Meteorological Department has predicted drizzle with thunderstorms in the eastern part between October 27 and 29.

According to the Madhya Pradesh Meteorological Department, due to the effect of cyclone Dana, there may be rain with thunderstorms on October 27, 28 and 29 in the districts of Jabalpur, Shahdol, Rewa and Sagar divisions. Due to the effect of the storm, the wind speed in the state can be up to 40 km per hour.

On Saturday, the weather remained clear in most of the districts including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur and Gwalior, although there was light rain at some places with cold winds.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that on October on 27 and 28, Jabalpur, Katni, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla and Balaghat will receive rain and thundershowers. In the rest of the districts, the weather will be clear and sunny.

Especially in October 27, light rain and thundershowers may occur in Satna, Rewa, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Panna and other districts. After this, similar changes in the weather will continue on October 28 and 29. In the coming days, further drop in temperature can be seen in most of the districts of the state. Railway's gift on festive season, special train will run from Kota to Danapur from October 27, will stop at these stations of MP.

Cyclonic storm Dana is currently near Odisha in the form of a deep depression, which is moving in the northwest direction and after weakening further on Saturday, it may turn into a low pressure area, due to which light to moderate rainfall may occur in the districts of Rewa, Jabalpur, Shahdol division of eastern Madhya Pradesh till Diwali. There may be rain at some places in the districts of Jabalpur, Rewa and Shahdol division on Saturday. Intermittent rain may start in other areas of the state as well from October 27.

The impact of 'Dana' will also increase wind speeds across Madhya Pradesh. Currently, wind speeds in many cities range from 10 to 20 km/hr.
